LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mixed in late European trading Thursday. Gold rose.
The euro traded at $1.3819, up from $1.3795 late Wednesday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3805.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Wednesday, included 121.94 Japanese yen, up from 121.89; 1.2006 Swiss francs, down from 1.2007; and 1.0416 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0449.
