BERLIN (AP) - The dollar slipped against the euro on Friday even as concern grew that the weak U.S. currency could harm Europe's economy in the long term.
The 13-nation euro bought $1.3807 in afternoon trading Friday, up from $1.3803 in late New York trading and below its record high of $1.3833 reached earlier this week.
Britain's pound also remained strong, rising to $2.0525 in afternoon trading, up from $2.0486 late Thursday.
