MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Justin Morneau homered, drove in three runs and helped get Minnesota's struggling offense going, leading the Twins past All-Star John Lackey and the Los Angeles Angels 7-5 on Friday night.
After scoring only five runs during a three-game sweep by the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers this week, the Twins crossed home three times in the first inning and four times in the third against one of the best pitchers in the league.
Lackey (12-6) lost for the first time in nearly one month and allowed 10 hits, seven runs five earned and one walk in five innings. He struck out three.
