 WASHINGTON (AP) - Felipe Lopez homered and Mike Bacsik pitched into the seventh inning to lead the Washington Nationals to a 3-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday.
Pinch-hitter Tony Batista singled to drive in two runs in the seventh, and Chad Cordero pitched a perfect ninth for his 18th save.
Bacsik (2-6) was 1-6 in his last nine starts but tamed the Rockies by holding them to only one hit after the first inning. He left to a standing ovation with two outs in the seventh after surrendering three hits, three walks and striking out two.
