UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) - Asjha Jones hit an 11-foot jumper with 2.9 seconds remaining to give the Connecticut Sun an 81-79 win over the Houston Comets on Sunday.
Jones, who hit her first three shots to open the game, finished with 22 points as Connecticut (12-11) won its sixth-straight and edged above .500 for the first time in six weeks. Katie Douglas led the Sun with 25 points.
"If I get the ball, I'm going to try to score," Jones said. "I'm not really thinking about offense, but my assignment."
