 ATLANTA (AP) - Skip Schumaker hit a two-run home run and Scott Rolen added a three-run homer in the 10th inning to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 7-2 win over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday night.
Schumaker, who entered the game in the eighth inning as a pinch-hitter, drove an 0-1 pitch from Tyler Yates (2-2) over the right-field fence for his second homer. It came after Aaron Miles singled to open the inning.
Schumaker is 17-for-33 (.515) in July and increased his batting average to .315.
