LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was higher against most other major currencies in European trading Wednesday. Gold fell.
The euro traded at $1.3711, down from $1.3830 late Tuesday in New York. The 13-nation currency reached an all-time high of $1.3851 on Tuesday.
Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.3702.
