CINCINNATI (AP) - Jeff Keppinger's bases-loaded double highlighted Cincinnati's two-out scoring spree in a 7-3 victory over Milwaukee on Wednesday night, shortly after the Brewers made a bold move to stay in first place in the NL Central.
Milwaukee traded three pitching prospects to San Diego for reliever Scott Linebrink, providing another setup man for closer Francisco Cordero. It marked a philosophical turnaround for a team more accustomed to giving up in July.
The Brewers also got good news when center fielder Bill Hall came off the disabled list before the game, completing his fast recovery from a severe ankle sprain three weeks ago.
