 BALTIMORE (AP) - Brian Roberts led off the ninth inning with a double and scored the game-winning run on a sacrifice fly by Nick Markakis, giving the Baltimore Orioles a 6-5 comeback victory over the Boston Red Sox on Friday night.
The Orioles rallied from a 5-1 deficit with a four-run eighth against Eric Gagne, then won it in the ninth against Hideki Okajima (3-1).
Roberts started the ninth with a ground-rule double and moved to third on a bunt by Corey Patterson. Markakis followed with a soft fly to center fielder Coco Crisp, who couldn't put enough on his throw for a play at the plate.
