OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - Jack Hannahan hit a game-ending single with two outs in the 11th inning to help the Oakland Athletics snap a five-game losing streak with a 5-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Hannahan's big hit came after Huston Street blew a 4-2 lead in the ninth by allowing solo homers to Lyle Overbay and pinch-hitter Matt Stairs the first time the closer has allowed two homers in an outing in his career.
Marco Scutaro started the winning rally with a two-out double against Jason Frasor (1-4). Hannahan followed with a drive into the gap in left-center off Scott Downs that easily scored Scutaro with the winning run.
