CAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, criticized in the West over the continuing violence in Darfur, on Friday questioned the resolve of some parties to make peace during upcoming talks.
Speaking to the pan-Arab satellite news channel al-Arabiyah, al-Bashir also dismissed anew charges that genocide and massacres were talking place in the western Sudanese area.
"It is possible there will be a problem to be confronted over the upcoming negotiations because the factions attending the upcoming talks in Tripoli of course do not represent the armed groups in Darfur," he said.
