TORONTO (AP) - Antero Niittymaki made 54 saves, and Steve Downie scored his first NHL goal to lift the Philadelphia Flyers to a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night.
Jeff Carter scored his 14th goal and Mike Richards added his 19th to support Niittymaki. The Flyers bounced back from a shutout loss at New Jersey on Friday night to win for the fourth time in five games.
Mats Sundin scored both goals for Toronto, which lost despite a 56-32 shots advantage. All three goals on Andrew Raycroft were on rebounds.
