WINTON, N.C. (AP) - Police say two adults and two children are dead following a collision between a car and a logging truck in North Carolina near the Virginia line.
The state highway patrol says the crash happened Thursday afternoon on a highway west of Winton in Hertford County. Troopers are investigating. The patrol says the car crossed into the path of the truck.
Authorities say four people died at the scene.
