LONDON (AP) - The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Friday. Gold fell in London.
The euro traded at $1.4812, down from $1.4815 late Thursday in New York. Later, in midday trading in New York, the euro fetched $1.4819.
Other dollar rates in Europe, compared with late Thursday, included 106.94 Japanese yen, down from 107.38; 1.0866 Swiss francs, down from 1.0887; and 1.0137 Canadian dollars, up from 1.0113.
