KHAR, Pakistan (AP) - The deaths of five civilians during a clash between government troops and militants have sparked a demonstration of more than 2,000 villagers in northwest Pakistan.
Supporters of Pakistan's largest Islamic group Jamaat-e-Islami rallied Thursday in the tribal town of Khar.
Protesters were chanting "Death to America!" and "Anyone who is a friend of Musharraf is a traitor!" — referring to U.S.-allied President Pervez Musharraf.
