ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Jamie Langenbrunner scored the winner for the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night to seal a 4-3 shootout victory over the Minnesota Wild. Langenbrunner was the only successful shooter.
He faked to his left and went right to deke goalie Niklas Backstrom, who lost his third shootout in as many games.
Marian Gaborik scored his 35th goal for the Wild, who had a power play to start overtime. Brian Rolston and Kurtis Foster were stopped by Martin Brodeur's pads, though, and a breakaway shot by Gaborik was just wide while grazing Brodeur's glove.
