WASHINGTON (AP) - Antawn Jamison scored 36 points, including three key free throws to send the game into overtime, leading the Washington Wizards to a 119-109 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night.
The Clippers, who have lost 11 of their last 13 games, looked to have the game sealed when Corey Maggette hit two free throws to give them a 98-94 lead with 7 seconds to play in regulation. But Jamison, who also had 11 rebounds, hit a 3-pointer with 4.5 seconds left to cut the lead to 98-97.
Tim Thomas hit two free throws with 3.4 seconds to make it 100-97. Jamison, poised to take a potential game-tying 3-pointer, was fouled by Cuttino Mobley, and made all three to tie the score. Thomas missed an 18-foot jumper at the buzzer, and the game went into overtime.
