ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Megan Frazee scored 24 points, including the game-winning basket with 0.3 seconds left, as Liberty defeated Radford 66-65 on Sunday to win its 11th Big South Championship in 12 years.
Frazee, named the tournament's most outstanding player, scored on a turnaround jumper in the lane after the Flames (28-3) forced a turnover in the backcourt with 3.2 seconds to go.
Radford (23-11) and Liberty have advanced to the Big South tournament championship game in each of the 22 years of the conference's existence, but this was the first meeting between the schools in the title game. The teams have combined to win 20 of the 22 league championships.
