Thursday, April 03, 2008 10:19:07 AM
By PAUL LOGOTHETIS

Max Mosley, president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), is seen during a news conference in this Sept. 19, 2005 file picture taken in Shanghai, China. Mosley rejected calls to step down on Tuesday April 1, 2008 for being embroiled in a sex scandal. Mosley wrote in a letter sent to FIA officials that he was embarrassed, and said he would take legal action against the British tabloid that accused him of engaging in sexual acts with five prostitutes in a scenario that involved Nazi role-playing. (AP Photo/Eugene Hoshiko)SAKHIR, Bahrain (AP) - Formula One teams and manufacturers are questioning whether Max Mosley can stay on as FIA president following a sex scandal.

Toyota, Honda, BMW and Mercedes-Benz all issued statements Thursday expressing disappointment over Mosley's behavior, but stopped short of calling for his resignation.

A British tabloid, The News of the World, reported Sunday that the 67-year-old Mosley participated in sex acts with five prostitutes in a scenario that is believed to involve Nazi role-playing.
