CANBERRA, Australia (AP) - East Timor's President Jose Ramos-Horta says he is considering quitting politics after surviving an assassination attempt.
In an interview published in The Australian newspaper Tuesday, the Nobel Peace Prize winner says he won't promise to serve out the final 4 years of his 5-year term.
Ramos-Horta is recuperating in the northern Australian city of Darwin. He was shot twice by army mutineers outside his home in the East Timor capital of Dili in February.
