GUATEMALA CITY (AP) - An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.1 has hit in southwestern Guatemala. Authorities say there are no immediate reports of injuries or major damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the quake was centered just offshore in the Pacific Ocean, about 45 miles south of the city of Escuintla. It struck Monday night a little after 9 p.m. local time (0300 GMT).
