4 Mich. fishermen missing on Lake Erie

Friday, July 03, 2009 3:53:34 PM

MONROE, Mich. (AP) - The U.S. Coast Guard and others are searching Lake Erie for four Michigan fishermen whose 19-foot boat set sail a day earlier.

The men, who are between 52 and 76 years old, left Sterling Park in Monroe at 8 a.m. Thursday. A family member notified the Coast Guard around 10 p.m. when the men weren't home. They'd been expected back at the boat launch about 4 p.m.

Boats, helicopters and other aircraft from the U.S. and Canada searched for them Friday.
