TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - An Associated Press exit poll shows the New Jersey governor's race is too close to call between Republican Chris Christie and Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine.
Independent Chris Daggett was falling far short of the 20 percent he drew in some earlier polls. Balloting ended at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Independent voters gave President Barack Obama a huge advantage in the state last year, but they heavily favored Christie on Tuesday.
