LONDON (AP) - A British newspaper claims leaked government documents show plans for the 2003 invasion of Iraq were drafted more than a year earlier calling into question Tony Blair's public statements on the military buildup.
The Sunday Telegraph published details Sunday of a series of interviews with senior military figures undertaken by a government-commissioned inquiry seeking to learn lessons from the U.S.-led invasion.
One document disclosed that some planning for the war had begun in February 2002. In July 2002, Blair told lawmakers no preparations were being made to invade.
